Hyderabad: Madhapur police booked a man for raping his minor neighbour multiple times blackmailing her of leaking pictures he had of the girl.

The accused Prem Kumar is a resident of Andhra Pradesh and worked in an eatery.

Kumar knew the girl for a long time and both of them lived with their families at Parvath Nagar in Madhapur here. The duo also spoke to each other often, police said.

Police said that one day when the 15-year-old was alone at her home, he barged into the house, took pictures of the girl and then later threatened her of leaking the pictures. He raped the girl several times. However, Prem later leaked the pictures, and on inquiry the girl's family learnt the man harassed and raped her.

Kumar has been booked under rape charges as well as POCSO Act. He has been detained.

In another incident, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by her neighbour in Hyderabad. According to a complaint filed by the mother of the victim, the girl had gone to buy some grocery around 8 pm when the man, who lives in the same locality, forcibly took her to his house on a motorcycle and committed the crime.

Police said the man later dropped the victim to her home around 11 pm and fled.
