New Delhi: In order to save his extramarital affair, a man from Delhi killed his friend and tried to fake it as a suicide. Police investigation, however, revealed the reality, and the killer is currently under arrest.

Dalbir (30) and Gulkesh were friends. Both frequented to each others' house. Gulkesh in the process got to know Dalbir's wife and both maintained an extramarital affair clandestinely. As their relationship grew, Gulkesh insisted for a marriage. However, Dalbir's wife declined it flatly.

Gulkesh thought eliminating his friend Dalbir can help pave way for their marriage. On June 24, Gulkesh called his friend on the mobile asking him to come to a secluded place near a railway track. Gulkesh smashed his friend Dalbir's head with a brick and killed him. He then threw Dalbir's body on the railway track.

Gulkesh then concoted a story that Dalbir had committed suicide. He himself informed police that there was a dead body on the railway track. Suspicious over the behaviour of Gulkesh, police grilled him and checked his call records. It revealed that Gulkesh had actually killed Dalbir.

Gulkesh is currently under arrest. Police are investigating to ascertain if the deceased wife is also involved in the murder.
