Kakinada: A mathematics lecturer was found dead under mysterious circumstances in East Godavari district. According to the police, the victim's body was covered with dry grass.

The victim was identified as Peketi Suryanarayana, who worked as a junior lecturer with Sri Vikas Junior College. The lecturer recently got hitched to one Madduri Venkateswara Rao’s daughter on May 15.

Suryanarayana reportedly went missing on Tuesday morning and his brother lodged a missing complaint with Karapa police. In his complaint, he mentioned that Suryanarayana’s father-in-law had seen him leave the house on his two-wheeler but never returned.

The police found Suryanarayana’s body on Pathalagadda Road in Karapa mandal while the bike was found far away from the body. The police are yet to ascertain the cause of his death and suspect that he may have been murdered. A case has been registered and the investigation is underway.
