Bhimavaram: A civil engineer working in Nayudupeta at Nellore district was arrested by the Police for posting morphed pictures of a girl on social media.

The victim who was from Undi in West Godavari was studying engineering in Bhimavaram. She had met a man named Senaparigi Himateja from Madakasira of Anantapur district on FaceBook. After befriending him, she sent her pictures and started chatting with him on a regular basis. After a while she got to know that he was not of good nature and cut of ties with him. The victim stopped talking to him and even blocked him from her account.

After six months, he created fake FaceBook and Instagram accounts in her name. He sent 'friend requests' to her friends and started sharing her morphed pictures to tarnish her image. Her friends called and asked her as to why she was posting these obscene pictures. With this information, the victim got to know of his handiwork and immediately filed a complaint with the Bhimavaram police on May 8. The Police registered a case and upon investigation traced the account to be that of Himateja’s and arrested him from Nellore.
