Grandmother Killed For Not Attending Birthday Party

Haryana: In shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his own grandmother in Fatehabad town of Haryana. The reason? She did not attend his son’s birthday celebrations. According to police officials the victim Ramdevi (70) was living separately from her two sons due to differences over a property issue. Apparently one of her grandsons Vicky (22) had arranged for a party to celebrate the birth of his son ( her great grandson) and had called his grandmother for the celebration. But she did not attend the party and Vicky went to her home and got into an argument with her as to why she did not come for the party.

With the argument turning violent, Vicky attacked his grandmother Ramdevi with a blunt object. A profusely bleeding Ramadevi was taken to the hospital by her husband Ram Avatar, but the doctors declared that she had already died.

On the basis of a complaint made by the deceased’s husband, Police registered a case against the accused and his parents. Vicky and his mother were arrested on Saturday and his father was absconding, SHO Fatehabad said.
