Man Arrested in Hyderabad Airport For Smuggling Gold Worth Rs 36 lakh

Hyderabad: Over 1 kg gold paste worth Rs 36.99 lakh was found inside the clothes of a passenger who arrived from Doha, Qatar. Customs officials arrested him in Hyderabad airport for smuggling.

Officials intercepted him at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport when he was passing through green channel at the airport.

Following investigation it was found that he was carrying 1.16 kg gold in paste form and kept it concealed in a pouch tied inside his clothes.

Further probe is underway.
