Hyderabad: A Bengaluru woman, who complained of sexual abuse by a delivery boy of online food delivery platform Swiggy, received a 'sorry' message along with a Rs 200 coupon as compensation.
Narrating her ordeal, the girl wrote on Facebook that the accused had asked for sexual favours while delivering the food that she ordered on Thursday.
She wrote that when he arrived and she opened the door, she saw that he was murmuring something. When he repeated the same thing, the girl realised that he was asking for sex.
“I was taken aback... had to literally snatch my food package from him and shut my door on his face. I was...disgusted to let alone eat, but to even look at the food," she wrote.
The girl said that when she made a complaint to the customer service and instead received mere apologies rather than stern action.
Swiggy later replied to her post and apologised for the unpleasant experience and sought details to initiate action.
