Kidnap Case Cracked In Half A Day

Vijayawada: Sattenapalli rural police rescued a kidnap victim, cracking the case in less than 6 hours. This case was reported in Rentapalla village under Sattenapalli Mandal.

A real estate broker Gudimetla Jayarao was kidnapped between Saturday and Sunday by a group of four people over a land dispute. Kakunuri Govindaiah, Kakunuri Anjani Kumar, B Anjaneyulu and B Veeranjaneyulu arrived at Jayarao's house at around 2 am on Sunday, and forcefully abducted him in their car.

After Jayarao’s family lodged a complaint, the police swung into action immediately and had noticed that the car had traveled towards Piduguralla in Guntur district. As the cops began their search for Jayarao, the later came in contact with them after fleeing from the clutches of his captors.

Sattenapalli rural inspector M Parrabhiramaiah said that a the kidnap case was solved within six hours. However, the kidnappers are still on the run and a hunt is on to nab the culprits.
