Banjarahills: Police have unearthed new facts in the NRI Industrialist Jayaram Chigurupati murder case. Prime accused in the case Rakesh Reddy is being inquired by the police along with Srinivas, rowdy sheeter Nagesh and his son-in-law Vishal, whose involvement is confirmed in the case.

According to the police, accused Rakesh has no bank account of his own till date and all his transactions are in cash. Prior to this he was into real estate, added the West Zone DCP AR Srinivas.

Police have inquired almost 50 people in this case and few bank accounts have been under security along with some documents.

Talking about the involvement of the two police officers in the case he said that the issue will be dealt with in the near future and Rakesh was in talks with a total of five police officers. Ibrahimpatnam CI and Nallakunta SI will be inquired on the case, he added.

Has Rakesh given any money to Jayaram is yet to be found along with that cases filed by deceased Jayaram’s wife Padmashree on Shikha chowdary is being investigated.

Police said the involvement of Shikha in the murder case is yet to be confirmed, however, there have been few bank transactions between both of them. Involvement of others in the case will be confirmed after inquiring based on the call data.
