Woman Attempts Suicide at Hussain Sagar Over Talaq Threat

Hyderabad: A woman attempted suicide in Hyderabad after her husband kept harassing her with the threat of divorce.

The woman made an attempt to jump into the Hussain Sagar Lake at Tank Bund along with her two children on Monday morning. She had tied the hands and legs of her kids as she attempted to jump into the water. However, locals noticing this, stopped her from going any further.

The Lake police officials brought her to the police station and are counselling her.

According to the details, the woman had been undergoing severe harassment from her husband who kept threatening her with Talaq. The Tolichowki police officials identified her and investigating the matter further.
