Car Rams Into Tree In Mancherial; Two Women Killed 

Mancherial: Two women died after a car in which they were travelling crashed into a tree on Friday midnight. Two other passengers in the car suffered injuries.

Mancherial police identified the deceased as Konda Vijaya Laxmi (52), an Anganwadi worker and native of Bellampalli town and Salvandi Anasurya (43), a homemaker and widow from Ramakrishnapur in Mandamarri mandal.

The mishap occurred at Arya Vysya Bhavan in Mancherial town at around 1.30 am when the car hit the tree resulting in the instantaneous for both the women.

As per the details, the driver of the vehicle is learned to have dozed off on the wheel leading to the accident.

The victims were returning from Hyderabad after receiving funds granted to them following death of Vijaya Laxmi's son in a road accident in the past.

A family member of the victim filed a complaint with the police based on which a case under Section 304-A of IPC has been registered against the driver.
