Vijayawada Con-Woman Flees With Gold

Ramavarappadu: Lady cheats ward member’s family under the garb of puja and flees away with gold. According to the details, former ward member Viji Rama Rao and family are residing at the Prasadampadu in Vijayawada rural mandal.

An unknown woman claiming to be a soothsayer came to his wife Lakshmi and made her believe that the family is going to face harm. Lakshmi gave into her words as an elder person from her family, Vijji Chinna Rao, passed away recently. The lady claimed that there is evil in the house and she will perform a puja to remove it.

Later she asked the family to place all the gold in front her in a box, she wrapped it with a thread. She asked for the box, which contains the gold to be placed in the almirah and taken out in an hour, after which she had left.

However, suspicion grew almost immediately and Lakshmi opened the box to check for the gold. The gold was missing and by the time they chased her, the women had fled the place in an auto, which was already waiting for her. Gauthami daughter of Rama Rao felt suspicious while the puja was going on and clicked a picture of the lady.
