Sleep Deprived Man Rams Car Into Railing, Loses Wife, Baby In Mishap

West Godavari: An over speeding car hit the railing and caused the death of two people from the same family. Police are suspecting the driver’s negligence to be the reason behind the accident.

According to the details, Varapareddy Srinivas, was working as an assistant engineer at the Visakhapatnam Steel plant and was on his way to Guntumilli in Krishna district along with his wife Annapurna (50) and grandson Arush(1). Police added that while the accident took place, Srinivas was driving the car and the mishap killed the two when the iron sheet teared into their neck causing grave injuries. Police are suspecting sleep deprivation could have caused the accident.

In the accident Srininvas’s wife and grandson passed away. However the driver survived with injuries and is undergoing treatment at the Tadepalligudem hospital. The dead bodies of the deceased have been shifted to the area hospital for autopsy.  A case has been filed and the investigation is on, said the police.
