Lover Kills Woman’s Father-in-Law For Opposing Extra-Marital Relationship  

Chennai: A man who objected to his daughter-in-law's extra-marital relationship was brutally killed by her boyfriend and two others near here on Monday. Annadorai (55) and his wife Anantammal (50) have a son, Harikrishnan, who is working in Dubai. Their daughter-in-law Premalatha, who was staying with them became intimate with one Muthumariappan from Mammalaipetti. He lived in the neighbourhood and the two got into an intimate relationship which came to the notice of Annadorai.

Annadorai warned his daughter-in-law and she stopped seeing Muthumariappan. He began to nurse a grudge against Annadorai and picked up a quarrel with him. The matter reached Kadamburu police station and after an investigation, police arrested Muthumariappan. He was later let off on bail.

Muthumariappan decided to get rid of Annadorai for objecting to his relationship with Premalatha. On Monday night, Muthumariappan went to Annadorai's house with his friends and attacked him with knives, killing him. Police who rushed to the scene, sent Annadorai's body to the local government hospital. Muthumariappan, Balasubramnian and Karuppasami were arrested by the police.
