Woman Missing For A Month, Found Dead In Karimnagar

Chandurti (Vemulawada): A young woman who disappeared about a month ago was found dead on Thursday in a well near a farm of Mallial village of Chundurthi Mandal. According to police, Priyanka (24), left home on December 7, 2018. After being gone for two says, her father Krishna Hari approached the police on December 13 following which a case was registered.

Based on a suspicion, Raju, who worked in a Vemulawada hospital was called to the police station for inquiry. Raju was let off after he stated that Priyanka had come to the hospital for Thyroid examination. The police inquired the surroundings based on her mobile phone data.

Peddigiri Gangaiah from the same village noticed smell emanating from the well in the nearby forests on Thursday. He immediately alerted the police and the dead body was pulled out of the well. The family members of Priyanka were informed. Chandurthi police sent the body for post-mortem.

Priyanka's father revealed to the police that she was in love with a young man working as a lab technician in a private hospital in Vemulawada town.

However, Priyanka's parents were against the couple and fixed her marriage with her cousin. The date was finalized as December 12 but Priyanka went missing before the wedding.
