Woman Killed In Gas Cylinder Explosion In Hyderabad  

In a gas cylinder explosion that took place in Hyderabad, an elderly woman lost her life while another woman sustained serious injuries.

The incident occurred on Tuesday in the police station limits of Vanasthalipuram.

According to the police, the deceased, Shruti Keerthi (80) suffered severe burn injuries when she lit the stove in her kitchen at her house in BN Reddy Nagar and the gas cylinder exploded.

Another woman, Lalitha who was in the next room got injured when the windows shattered due to the explosion resulting in the glass pieces piercing into her body. The neighbours, rushed the two women to a private hospital in LB Nagar. Shruti Keerthi succumbed to the injuries at 9 pm on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at the hospital. A case has been registered in this regard and the investigation is underway.
