Man Demands Cases Be Withdrawn, Climbs Cell Tower In Khammam  

Palwancha: A man, identified as Rakesh climbed a cell tower near KSP road in Palwancha, Khammam district on Tuesday threatening to jump if the cases filed against him are not withdrawn.

While two robbery cases are filed against him, another two cases were filed by two women on charges of harassment.

Hailing from Karakavagu village, Gannavarapu Rakesh claimed that he is being unnecessarily troubled by the police, further accusing them of filing false cases against him.

The police officials who reached the spot tried to bring him down but Rakesh refused to listen and threatened to jump if the cases were not lifted. Eventually, he climbed down the tower at 6 pm and was taken to the police station.

Speaking in this regard, SI Ravi said, "Two cases of theft and two other cases of harassment have been filed against Rakesh. We have not harassed him."
