Bike Robbers Who Stole Expensive Bullets Arrested In Bhagyanagar

Hyderabad: Hyderabad police on Thursday arrested two bike robbers who targeted expensive two-wheelers. 10 bikes valued at Rs. 15 lakhs were seized from them at Kukatpally in the city. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Surender Rao told media persons.

The criminals, Perineni Sandeep Patil of Kodiyal village in Basava Kalyanam mandal of Bidar district in Karnataka, used to stay at BalajiNagar in the Kukatpally area. He was arrested in his student days in a bike theft case and went to jail. On his release, he met his former associates, Vijay and Shivshanker and went back to his ways of stealing bikes.

They admitted to stealing 7 Royal Enfield Bullet and 3 Pulsar bikes over the past two and a half months. The culprits focused on the areas under Balanagar, Sanathnagar, Kukatpally, Jagadgirigutta, KPHB, Jeedimetla and Athnur police station limits.

They confessed to their offences when the cops who were conducting searches in Bhagyanagar Colony intercepted a Royal Enfield Bullet bike without a registration number on which Sandeep Patil and Shivashanker were riding.  A third accomplice, Vijay is on the run. The Police has registered a case and is investigating.
