Police Constable Dies In A Hit-And-Run Accident
YSR Kadapa: Constable Obulaiah (35) died in a road mishap near Erraguntla-Nidujivvi Village in YSR Kadapa district on Monday evening . He was hit by an unidentified vehicle when he was returning to his village after completing his duty.
According to police, Obulaiah was a constable (PC No.363) with the Erraguntla Police station. He had been transferred from Chinnamandem police Station to Erraguntla Police station six months ago and was working a Traffic Police.
After completing his duty he was returning home to his native place on his bike and was hit by an unidentified vehicle which was speeding on the road. He died on the spot,as an iron rod lying on the road pierced into his head, even though he was wearing a helmet.CI Venkateshwarlu who inspected the scene of accident has filed a case of hit-and-run and are investigating further.
