Noida: Mystery shrouded the death of a female news anchor Radhika Koushik on Friday morning at 3:30 am in Noida, in Uttar Pradesh. She committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of her flat. The apartment watchman found the dead body lying at the Parking area and informed police. The reason behind Radhika's death is yet to be known.

The police informed her family members about the death of Radhika. They took Radhika's boyfriend and colleague Rahul Awasthi, who also used to work as an anchor into the custody and grilled him. Based on the preliminary investigation, it has emerged that they both consumed alcohol on the day of death and had an argument, the police said. Rahul said that she jumped from the balcony while he was in the washroom. The police has started investigating the case to find out if it is a murder or suicide. They beleive that the post-mortem would throw more light on the cause of death.

Radhika Koushik used to work at a local news channel as a news reporter in Rajasthan. It is learned that she was transfered to Noida recently. She was staying at the apartment from the last four months.
