Nuzvid Woman Commits Suicide Over Torture From In-Laws

Musunuru (Nizvid) : Woman commits suicide upon being harassed for dowry by husband and family. According to police sub-inspector KVGV Satyanarayana, Elike Anil and Venkateswaramma(25) married five years ago. Theirs was a love marriage and they have two sons. The victim consumed pesticide on the morning of Sunday, she was taken to a private hospital for first aid and later was shifted government hospital of Nuzvid. She breathed her last in the afternoon, while undergoing the treatment.”

Neighbours believed that family disputes were the reason for this suicide. But the victim’s parents are alleging that the reason behind this suicide is her husband and mother-in-law’s harassment. Police upon receiving the information have taken her husband into custody and inquired her mother-in-law in the Gogulapadu. Police are going to hand over the dead body to the relatives after the autopsy. A case has been registered by victims parents said the SI.
