Dodballapuram: Mohan Gowda was arrested for cheating and impregnating a woman. The accused hailing from Chikkagollarahatti of Nelamangala cheated a 22 year-old woman whom he lured in the name of love. He later entered into a physical relationship with her. Upon knowing that she is pregnant, accused stopped denied ever meeting her. Later the woman gave birth to a baby, and on learning about it, the accused sent goons to threaten the victim.

The accused took the woman to a lodge in Pedda marri chettu (Doddaladamara) and forced himself on her, and even videographed the act. He blackmailed the victim many times to continue his physical relationship.

The victim along with her parents complained to the Madanayakahalli police station, and the police after filing the complaint took the accused into custody. This case is being heard by the JMFC court. But the accused denied impregnating the woman in the court. After considering the evidence submitted to the court, the justice ordered a DNA test. The test proved that he is the father of the child. Police submitted the video footage collected from the lodge, where the accused assaulted the victim, videos of both riding on the same bike and car. Call records of both were submitted along with the DNA test results.
