US Doctor Sends Talaq Message To Wife On WhatsApp

Bengaluru: In another case of Talaq via WhatsApp message, a Bengaluru based woman Reshma Aziz filed a case against her US-based husband for cheating her and divorcing her through a WhatsApp message.

Reshma Aziz was married to Dr Javed Khan in 2003 and was living in the state of Illinois in America. The couple had two children—a 13-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son. They were apparently having marital issues. Dr Javed brought her to Bengaluru on November 30 on the pretext of resolving their issues with the elders of the family.

After arriving at the Bengaluru airport he told her that he had some work and would meet her at home and sent her home in a taxi. After she left he took the next flight back to America and upon reaching the country sent her a Talaq message thrice through Whatsapp, leaving the wife stranded in Bengaluru.

The Bengaluru police have registered a case and issued Look Out Notice for Dr Javed Khan.
