Ananthagiri: A man allegedly murdered his lover for not repaying his debt. The incident took place on November 9th at Ananthagiri. DSP Sirisha revealed details to the media on Tuesday at Vikarabad police station.

The victim Boyini Manjula (35) from Madanapalli was murdered on November 9th. Her husband Chandraiah had died three years ago. Manjula met Mangali Rajasekhar and got into a relationship with him.

A few months ago, Manjula borrowed Rs 80,000 from Rajasekhar but could not repay the amount. Due to this Rajasekhar held a grudge against Manjula and plotted to kill her.

On November 9th, Rajasekhar purchased toddy and went to a farm in the village where Manjula joined with him. There they both had an argument over the money and an enraged Rajasekhar killed her.

One of the locals, Krishnaiah found Manjula's dead body in the fields and informed police. On receipt of information, police reached the spot and collected the details. They found Beer bottles and toddy packets at the murdered spot. Based on the of evidence found at the place and a complaint lodged by the victim's father, police filed a case and started probing the matter. During the investigation, they learned that Rajasekhar had an extra-marital relationship with Manjula.

The police strongly believed that the accused was Rajasekhar when his mobile was switched off and he went absconding. Later they traced and caught the accused on Monday at MRP intersection. When the police interrogated him, he confessed to the crime. Rajasekhar was sent him to remand.
