Nizamabad Man Dupes People With False Job Promises

Hyderabad: A man who cheated youth by collecting huge amounts on the pretext of sending them abroad was arrested by the Central Zone team of the commissioner's task force.

The accused, Vosa Gangadhar alias Golivadda Gangadhar alias Kasturi Prakash Rajaram (48) lives in KPHB who hails from Nizamabad. He is an intermediate first-year dropout.

According to the Hyderabad police commissioner Anjani Kumar, the accused migrated to Sharjah in 1989 who worked five years before coming to India. He travelled to Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Trinidad, Qatar, Bangkok, Bahrain, Indonesia and Jordan for job purpose.

The police came to know about the fraud while processing his documentation work for immigration. Anjani Kumar said that he cheated job seekers by saying that countries like Israel, Jordan and Ecuador would pay good salaries. He added that they could migrate the people from Ecuador to US via Panama and Mexico as refugees. He collected Rs 5 lakh from each person.a

Later, they booked flight tickets and sent invitation letters after the documentation work which was done by Puneeth from Delhi. When the candidates approached them, they would switch off their mobile phone and escaped, the police said.

Since 2015, Gangadhar had changed about 15 sim cards and cheated 50 people. Six criminal cases were filed against the accused earlier in Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts.

On Monday, Gangadhar approached Imran, owner of I-link travels pvt Ltd at Chapel Road in Abids to book two air tickets and showed the invitation letters in the name of K Prakash Rajaram and Vosa Sunnydhar alias Sunny.

The role of Imran has to be verified, Kumar said.
