Accident At Avanigadda Claims 2 Lives

Penamaluru: Two men were killed in a road accident which took place on Saturday night at Avanigadda, Vijayawada. The other two girls injured in the car were admitted in the Kannur hospital. They were pursuing their B.tech. The incident happened when they went for a joy ride.

According to the police, the deceased Resapu Jeevan Reddy (21) and his friend Nekkala Prashanth (22) completed their graduation last year. Mudigonda Supraja (19) and Eeda Sneha (19) were pursuing their B.tech first year in Siddhartha Engineering college and were friends of the deceased.

On Friday night, Sneha and Supraja went to Jeevan Reddy's house in the name of an assignment. Jeevan Reddy and Prashanth who were in the car who asked the girls to join them. When they were traveling, a tractor which loaded with sand hit the car at Chintal Karakatta.

In the accident, Jeevan Reddy died on the spot while a severely injured Prashanth and the two girls were shifted to a hospital. Due to serious injuries, Prashanth died while undergoing treatment around midnight.

It is learned that the girls who were admitted in Kanuru private hospital are out of danger. The police were shocked to learn of the accident which they attributed to overspeeding.
