Ramayampet Siblings Drown

Ramayampet : Two Siblings drowned to death, in Tonigandla village of Ramayampet mandal in Medak district. The brothers, Kumar (17) and Madhu(14) came to the house of their maternal uncle Mallaiah in Thonigandla and went to the pond along with Mallaiah.

First Kumar got into the water as uncle called him. Neither of the siblings knew how to swim. Mallaiah tried saving Kumar, but in the meanwhile Madhu tried helping him and in the process, he also fell in the water.

They drowned by the time Mallaiah could save them. The children’s father is in Dubai making a livelihood. Kumar was studying in second year Intermediate and Madhu was in the 9th grade, said the locals.

A case has been filed based on a complaint lodged by family members said SI Mahendar. The dead bodies were taken to Ramayampeta government hospital for post mortem. Many of the local leaders also came to console the mother of the two boys.
