Woman Killed, 2 Kids Critically Injured In Accident

Madapur: A woman was killed and other two children were severely injured in a road accident on Sunday at Madhapur in Hyderabad.

According to the police, Bonalapulikonda Pandu (36) came to Hyderabad along with his wife Lalitha (35) 20 years ago and live at Site 3 colony in Borabonda. Around 3.00 in the afternoon, she went with her son and her nephew Praveen Kumar (13) to go to their relative's house at Miyapur.

On her way to Miyapur, she got into the wrong lane to cross the road at hitech city railway station which is connected to JNTU road. While crossing the road, a speeding vehicle knocked them down. In the accident, Lalitha succumbed to her injuries on the spot while Manohar and Praveen Kumar received serious injuries. Police attributed the accident to crossing in the wrong lane.
