Gurgaon Teen Uses Exam Sheet To Reveal Rape

Gurgaon: The campaign against sexual harassment, #metoo has gathered momentum in India, with more and more victims from various walks of life outing their perpetrators. A 15 year-old girl from Gurgaon expressed her feelings through her exam answer sheet. The incident went viral and police swung into action to investigate the incident.

The 15 year-old victim wrote in her exam sheet that she was raped by her cousin, a minor and another youth at Badshapur. She is pursuing her 10th class and was recently raped by a boy (23) and a minor, she wrote.

On October 1, the girl wrote the story of her rape incident in the exam answer sheet. The school staff learned of the matter and approached the police to take severe action against the crime. The police filed a POSCO case against the accused.

ACP Sakuntala Yadav said that the minor involved in the crime and the victim are neighbors and he is also her first cousin. His mother and the victim's mother are sisters. The police informed Child Welfare officials and explained the injustice done to the girl. They also suggested counseling to the victim.
