Kadapa: A woman killed her husband with the help of her family to continue her extramarital relationship. They then, tried to portray the murder as suicide but the police investigated the case and arrested seven accused who were involved in the murder. The incident took place under the police station limits of Ootukuru.

The victim Ravindra Nayak and Rekha Rani got married four years ago and had two children. The victim used to live in Rekha's house from the time of their marriage. Rekha Rani got into an extramarital relationship with Hari Nayak, a relative of Murali Nayak, Rekha Rani's father. Ravindra Nayak learned of the matter and warned her several times and also tried to take her to his hometown. Rekha, however, was not inclined to go with him.

Unbearable to face the growing pressure from her husband, Rekha Rani, her parents Murali Naayak and Sunita, her relatives, Hari Nayak, Gopal Nayak, Anjaneyulu Nayak and Mallikharjuna Nayak beat the victim to death. Later they portrayed the murder as suicide. They shifted Ravindra Nayak to RIMS hospital but the doctors declared that he was dead.

They informed the police who examined the victim's body along with the staff. Meanwhile, Ravindra Nayak's relatives alleged that he was murdered by Rekha Rani's family. Based on the complaint given by the victim's mother, the police filed a case and started the investigation. They arrested the accused.
