IIIT Basara Girl Jumps Off Hostel Building To Death

Basara: A girl student committed suicide by jumping from a hostel building here on Saturday. She was identified as Anusha (17) from Mandapalli, China Koduru and is pursuing PUC second year. The incident took place at IIIT Basara in Nirmal district. The girl committed suicide around 12 midnight by jumping from the third floor of the hostel building.

She was immediately shifted to Nizamabad private hospital, there she died while undergoing the treatment. The police seized the suicide note written by the victim. According to the suicide note, a depressed Anusha ended her life because of a failed relationship. Her parents, it is learnt frowned on the relationship. Anusha is said to have been a bright student. The local DSP visited the spot and enquired about the incident.

Some time ago, a girl student attempted suicide by taking sleeping pills at Basara RGUKT a week ago. The college staff at that time tried to hush up the incident by not revealing it to the media, it is said.
