Lakshmana Swamy who belongs to Repalle, Bethamcherla mandal completed his graduation in the year 2009. He met Chandrababu four times and explained his struggle of earning a job. He also asked to provide self-employment opportunitity. But the TDP government neglected his case and paid no heed.

Not being able to afford further studies either, Lakshmana tried hard to find a job so that he can stop being a burden to his family. Hoping for some help to start some kind of business, he went to Amaravati four times to meet Chandrababu but nobody were willing to hear his woes.

Lakshmana is 80% handicapped and the government has not even given him a pension of Rs 1,500. He is also married and has two sons. Depressed over his difficulties, Lakshmana attempted suicide on Thursday at Collectorate building. Immediately, the employees of the building rescued him. The police reached the spot and took him to DRO Venkatesam. The DRO promised to do justice to Lakshmana. He also promised to provide a bank loan for self-employment.

"Chandrababu Naidu had promised people to provide a job. Over the years, we have been running to chief minister and ministers pleading for higher education but no one cares. This frustrated me, pushing me to suicide," Lakshmana Swamy said.
