Miryalaguda: In the sensational murder case of an SC youth, Pranay in broadlight yesterday, his wife Amrutha, accused her father, Maruthi Rao and uncle Shravan of being responsible for the brutal killing. The woman who learnt of her pregnancy recently, stood benumbed as her husband was mercilessly attacked by an unknown assailant. Amrutha said that she will bear Pranay's child in remembrance of her dear husband.

Speaking to a reporter from Sakshi TV from the hospital where she is still recovering from shock, she said that Pranay had been warned several times in the past by her folks for speaking to her. Amrutha also said that she and Pranay had met the local DSP in this regard.

She revealed that the two knew each other since their seventh standard in school, going back to 2011. Amrutha admitted that she had been beaten by her parents and that her uncle had "manhandled" her for her proximity to Pranay in the past.

Sobbing as she spoke, she said they got married as per Arya Samaj tradition on January 30, this year, Amrutha further said. She described how Pranay was mercilessly hacked down as they were returning from the gynaecologist in Jyothi hospital here by a "sharp" stick (butcher's knife).

It may be recalled that the ruthless daylight murder has shaken the town. The prime accused the girl's father, Maruthi Rao and her uncle, Shravan are on the run.
