Vijayawada Woman Found Murdered

Vijayawada: A woman who lived alone in her house killed here on Thursday. According to the police, Karumuri Anjali Devi (52) used to live near the petrol pump of Payakapuram. She lived alone after the death of her husband. She had two children who were married and who lived in the same village.

On Wednesday night, she went to sleep after a casual interaction with her neighbors. Next day, the neighbors suspected something amiss when she did not step out of her house for half the day. They broke the door and found her dead, following which they informed the police.

The police, clues team and dog squad reached the spot and collected fingerprint samples. It is learnt that 14 tolas of gold, cash and the mobile had gone missing in the house. Police are investigating the case from all angles and said that complete details will be revealed soon.
