Vizianagaram: A bridegroom committed suicide depressed over the fact that his bride was not beautiful. He committed suicide on the third day of his marriage here on Tuesday at Babametta.

Two Town CI BVJ Raju said, Sheik Matheen worked as a VRO in Pedanadipalli, Cheepurupalli mandal. He was married on September 2nd to Mohamood Mubina from Saluru, Railway colony, Visakhapatnam.

On the same evening, they came to Singapore city, Vizianagaram. The mother of the groom learned that he was not happy with the marriage and when she asked her son he told her that his wife was not beautiful and had blackheads on her face.

Then his mother took Mubina to a dermatologist for treatment. But, the mother found he was not still happy.

On Tuesday night, while everybody was getting ready for the reception, Matheen went to his friend's house in Babametta and hanged herself in his friend's room. His mother and his friends tried reaching him on his phone without success. He was rushed to a private hospital on finding him dead, however, the doctors declared that he was already dead.

According to the CI, Matheen's mother said that Mubina's family cheated them by showing a different girl before the marriage and due to that her son committed suicide. The police filed a case and started probing the matter.
