TDP Leader Attacks Newly Wed Youth In Krishna, Police Stay Mum

Krishna: Leaders from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) attacked a newly married youth for marrying a girl who belongs to the family of a TDP Mandal level leader from Chinnapuram Village in Bandar Mandal in the district here. According to reports, Vaddi Hari Sai, an employee in a local Aqua food company, and Kagitha Shobhana got married in a church in Mogaltur last week. The couple had been in love for the past three years.

After their marriage, the couple approached Bandar Rural police and sought protection from the girl's family. The police, however, tried to consult the parents of the bride and the groom, but neither family turned up at the police station.

Meanwhile, the couple stayed in a friend's house in Nandamuru, where the TDP leaders came and attacked Sai. They took Shobhana away to her house while Sai was admitted him in a hospital.

Family members of Sai are demanding justice by and are protesting against the indifferent attitude of the cops.
