Mancherial Farmer Commits Suicide Over Crop Loss

Mancherial: The excess rainfall in the united Adilabad district in the last few days has disrupted normal life, especially that of farmers, here.

On Friday, Chippakurthi Rajaiah, a farmer based in Baba Nagar in Ralligadpur Village of Manchireal committed suicide unable to cope up depression over damage to his crop caused by heavy rains.

The 55-year-old famer's crop was completely damaged after his farm was washed out in the rain. According to the details provided by SI Venkateshwarlu, Rajaiah was survived by his wife, daughter and a son. Based on a complaint filed by family members, a case has been registered and investigation is on.
