Home Guard Burnt Alive By Lover

Prakasam: In a brutal murder that killed a Home Guard in Konakanamitla village of the district, an extra marrital affair ended after Podili native Shakira burnt alive her lover. Shabbir befriended Shakira a few months ago and the two began a poultry business, by leasing poultry farms at Perareddipally and Chavatapally villages in Konakanamitla mandal in the district.

According to police, Shaik Shabbir (32), hadn't showed up at work at Marripudi police station over the last few days. The police found out only recently that he had been killed after being burnt by Shakira at their leased poultry farm at Chavatapalli.

According to reports, the couple had differences over financial transactions pertaining to the poulrty farm. When neighbours enquired about the fire inside the farm, she said that it was due to short circuit. However, the owner of the poultry farm went inside only to find Shabbir's body tied to a cot and reduced to ashes. They soon informed the police.

CI Srinivasa Rao and Incharge SI Abdul Rehman rushed to the spot and shifted the body to a hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
