Rajahmundry Photographer Blackmails Woman With Morphed Pictures, Held

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad cyber crime police arrested a youth for allegedly threatening to upload morphed pictures of a woman on social media.

The 21 year-old resident of Rajahmundry in East Godavari district used abusive language and demanded money transfer to his mobile wallet via Paytm. Based on a complaint received by the victim, the police identified the accused as Mohd Khadar Bukhari (21), who had clicked the victim's photographs when she was in Rajahmundry.

After the victim turned down a photoshoot request from Khadar over Instagram messaging, he began to harass her by creating fake accounts of her on the social media site. Later, the police traced Khadar through his Instagram account with the username singer_khadar_bukhari.

The police also registered a complaint and began investigating the matter after booking cases under Sections 354(D) (stalking), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC and 67 of IT Act.
