Speeding Car Crashes After Hitting Divider in Banjara Hills

Hyderabad: An overspeeding car with a group of friends rammed into a divider near KBR Park in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad last night. The speed was such that the air bags opened and saved the passengers of the car. However, the car was destroyed after the crash.

According to police, the accident occured around 10:30 PM. The car was heading from KBR park to Panjagutta in a Hyundai car. The speeding vehicle is said to have approached a sharp turn near a mosque after which the driver lost control of the wheels and hit the divider there. The onlookers had to run for cover for the fear of being hit. The speeding vehicle crashed the divider and turned turtle on the road. The three people inside the car escaped with minor scratches, thanks to the Air Bags. Following the mishap, the passengers left the car and ran. The police are investigating the case to find if the driver was in an inebriated state at the time of mishap.
