TDP Lady Sarpanch Complains Of Harassment From Husband

Harini Kumari Nakka, a lady Sarpanch of the ruling TDP, took to Facebook to complain about the physical and psychological harassment she is being subjected to by her husband, B.Y. Ramakrishna, a TDP youth leader.

According to her FB post, Harini Kumari is a sarpanch of Telaprolu village. She wrote that she had complained to the Gannavaram police against her husband, a youth leader of the ruling TDP last year. However, she was forced to withdraw the case following pressure from her husband. Harini Kumari alleged that she did not get any justice from the police and was therefore, compelled to go public about her situation on social media. She pleaded for justice to her children and prayed that no woman should face such torture.
