BJP Leader Kamlakar Pohankar Family Hacked To Death In Nagpur

Nagpur: In a cold blooded murder in Nagpur, five members of a family were axed to death at Aradhana Nagar. The identity of the culprits is not known. Among those deceased is the daughter of a murder accused who was freed from jail recently.

Those found killed have been identified as BJP leader Kamlakar Pohankar, his wife, daughter, mother and brother-in-law's daughter. They were axed to death at their residence itself, it is learnt.

Although the motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, police suspect it would be Pohankar's brother-in-law who was recently freed from jail where he had been lodged for murder. The cops have recovered his bike from the place of crime.

As soon as word got out about the murder, the Nandanvan police and crime branch officials rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation. Forensic officials too have been summoned to examine the scene of crime and collect evidence.
