Punganur Girl Gangraped By Minors
Chittoor: A sordid tale of minors raping a minor girl came to light on Wednesday at Bhagatsingh Nagar in Punganur near here. In fact, the assault on the girl has been happening for a long time. On noticing the change in her, the parents questioned the girl who blurted out the entire story.
According to police, a 14-year-old boy lured the 11-year-old girl to a secluded place and assaulted her. He threatened the girl that he would tell disclose this to others and asked her to return. Fearing that she might be exposed and feeling ashamed, she went back to the secluded place.
The boy came along with his four friends, who are all minors and gang-raped her. This went on for three months. On noticing the change in her daughter, the mother questioned the girl who narrated the whole episode.
The girl's family immediately filed a complaint on Wednesday night. Since the police did not act swiftly, locals thrashed the culprits. It is learnt that two of the culprits were critical after the locals beating them and have been sent to government hospital. Two other culprits have been arrested while one was absconding.
