Road Accident In Chittoor Claims 5 Lives

Chittoor: In a ghastly road accident on Saturday near Renigunta, five people were killed on the spot while seven others were critically injured after a cement-laden truck lost control and collided a van which was coming in the opposite direction. All the deceased and injured were travelling in van and were heading to Tirumala for Lord Venkateswara temple.

Reportedly, the accident occurred when the speeding cement-laden truck collided directly hit on to the passenger van in Mamanduru. It is learnt that the deceased are all from Nandyala. Among the dead are two men, two women and a young girl. All the five died on the spot. The injured have been shifted to Ruya hospital in Tirupati.
