Medical Student Alleges Sexual Harassment At Ruya Hospital

Tirupati: A case of sexual harassment has been reported at Ruya Children's hospital of Alipiri in Tirupati after a victim wrote a letter to governor Narasimhan. The victim, who was unable to tolerate the harassment of the hospital doctors mailed a letter to the governor to protect girl students in the college. Governor too reacted over the issue by ordering a probe overt the incident.

The girl, a  Pediatric PG final year student took the names of few doctors, who sexually abused her at the hospital. The names of Pediatric HOD Dr Ravikumar and Prof. Sashikumar were mentioned in the letter. "Professors are using objectionable words against girls as they know we are dependent on them for scores in practical exams," she alleged.

The victim also recounted an ordeal in her letter. "Being a mother, I was totally fed up with the doctors and their vulgar language. Unable to bear the torture, I attempted suicide and was rescued by my husband. Though I complained to my superiors, no one has come forward to solve the issue," the letter States..
