Cricket betting racket busted: 7 held, Rs 1.5 lakh recovered

Hyderabad: A cricket betting racket was busted by Cyberabad police Special Operations Team (SOT) on Sunday at Nagole.The SOT sleuths have arrested seven persons and recovered Rs. 1.5 lakh from the accused.

Acting on a tip-off, the LB Nagar Zone police raided a flat in Nagole where the accused were involved in the illegal activity. The officials said that the gang has been active since the Word T20 began.

The accused are Prabha Prasad, R Srinivas, T Srinivas , Mahender , Jittu Acharya, Uday Kumar Reddy and Pradeep Reddy

The SOT team head Ramchandra Reddy said the mastermind of the gang Raj Kumar is at large and efforts are on to nab him.
