Court to pronounce verdict on Jagan's bail petition

The Andhra Pradesh High Court is expected to pronounce its verdict on the bail petition filed by Kadapa MP and YSR Congress Party President, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The verdict is likely to be pronounced today. On Tuesday, the court asked the CBI how many years it would take to complete the probe.

When the case came up for hearing on Tuesday, the CBI stated that the government was neither co-operating with them for the investigation nor offering support to conduct a smooth probe in the case. Saying so, the CBI sought more time to complete the probe.

Intervening, YS Jagan's counsel S. Niranjan Reddy argued that the CBI has been excusing itself on some pretext or the other without giving a solid reason for dilly-dallying the case. S. Niranjan Reddy demanded that the CBI give a proper date by which time the investigation can be completed. He has said that Jagan was taken into custody in all the aspects and not only on CC 8 alone.

He also questioned the CBI on the non-co-operation aspect saying if the government was not supporting, then how Jagan could remain imprisonedl for so long?

It is learnt that both the sides finished their arguments on Tuesday and the court reserved the case verdict  till Thursday.
