No relief for Shweta Basu Prasad

The Erramanzil court in Hyderabad on Tuesday rejected Swethabasu Prasad’s mother's petition. Recently, Swetha’s mother had approached the court seeking the custody of her daughter.

She reportedly told the court that she would look after her daughter with much care in future. Shweta Basu Prasad, who was arrested for prostitution in Hyderabad, was sent to the rescue home, where women rescued by police and those facing trial are given shelter during the trial period.

The inmates are provided with free food, clothing, medical care and also vocational training. She is likely to stay in the rescue home for three months.
