Cops raid Hookah parlours, 230 rounded up

Hyderabad: The South zone city police conducted search operations by cordoning various localities in Chandrayangutta on the midnight of October 17 from 12.30am to 2.30am. Around 230 nocturnals were rounded up during the operation but most of them had escaped from legal custody.

Search operations were conducted on Hookah centres which were open late night and entertained youngsters for personal gains. Twenty five armed teams were involved in this operation. Main objective of conducting this operation was to promote adherence to law and punish those who violate them.

The police informed the parents about the late night activities of their children at Hookah parlours and counseled the latter. Cases are being registered against those who escaped from the custody. The Inspector and Additional Inspectors of Chandrayangutta are being dealt with the charge Memo for their negligence.  

The Hookah parlours were seized and cases are registered against the owners who violated the principal norms while running the Hookah parlours. Similar operations were conducted on the owners of horse stable in order to stop the mess created on roads and activities such as teasing girls.
