Contain dissidence, Sarvey tells Rahul’s emissary

Congress party will pay heavy price if steps are not taken to contain the growing dissidence in the party, observed Union Minister Sarvey Satyanarayana.

He made this remarks when he met Amar Kale, the emissary of AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Monday. Amar Kale was touring in Lok Sabha constituencies in Rangareddy district and collected views of party leaders on the candidates for LS polls. Satyanarayana told Amar Kale that lack of coordination should be corrected and sought action against the dissident leaders. Sarvey said there were many aspirants for Malkajgiri Parliament seat and expressed hope that he would retain the ticket. As the process of consultations was continuing, Sonia had never said she would not give statehood for Telangana.
